Our Numeracy work this half term in Nursery

In Nursery we have been looking at big and small in our Numeracy work this half term. We have linked our learning to our LIPS story 'Goldilocks and the three bears' We have been using the language big and small and language of size. We have also been reading the story 'Jack and the beanstalk' so we decided to make different sized beanstalks to see what  the tallest and shortest ones were.

The objectives we have been looking at are:

•Begins to use the language of size. (22-36 months)
•Recites some number names in sequence (22-36 months)

We have also been learning different number songs to help us with our counting. These include 5 little ducks and 5 little speckled frogs.
Objectives for these are:
  • Joins in singing favourite songs (22-36 months)
  • Sings a few familiar songs. (30-50 months)
