Last week we spent some time learning about the element Earth and how it is used in everyday life. We spoke about crockery, building and growing vegetables and plants.
Within the outdoor area we set up a obstacle course using blocks and barrels. Although these objects are made from the man made material plastic children were able to compare the differences and discuss how much different a mud course would be. We also had a tuff tray full of mud for the children to explore, the dolls house so they could imagine their own home and how it is made from bricks, Lego so the children could construct a building and pastels so the children could draw what they could grow in soil. It was a great day :-)
