STEM week

We have had an absolutely incredible week for STEM week.
The children have been amazing and have enjoyed all aspects of the week. We have all been scientists, engineers and mathmaticians taking part in thhought provoking and exciting activities.

Some activities we have done: making boats with junk modeling, making lava lamps, sea themed observational drawing, floating and sinking testing, smoothie making, Plasticine boat making, boat racing. We have planned and made boats out of different materials where we then tested to see if they floated on the water.

We have also had a great experience with some fish where we got to touch them and explore them close up.

We have had talks from Plymouth Marine Aquarium and Wembury Centre which was fantastic so a big thank you to those people for coming in to tell us some amazing facts and show us some great artifacts.

We had a great trip down to the creek where we took our snack and enjoyed looking at the different wildlife there.

Afer the week was nearly over parents came in to see our incredible hard-work and we got to show off our efforts in assembly to the rest of the school.
