The children have all settled in well for their new journey here at Riverside. We have loved getting to know the children and the children have been fantastic! They are taking everything in their stride getting to know each other, the staff and our routines. They have been great in the dinner hall and learning the dinner time routines as well as our classroom rules.
There has been great excitement with the new knowledge and things to play with. There has been painting going on, sand and water fun, exploring sharing foam and sensory time, outside play on our new equipment and pirate ship. The bikes have been popular too.
Our theme is Nursery Rhymes so it would be great practice to sing the songs at home and them let us know in school. We are working on our 'Be Ready' bee this term where the children will be practicing to listen, look and sit to be ready for some great learning.Also our classroom rules are being taught and put into practice.
Tapestry will now be updated with your child's progress and learning over the next upcoming week and we look forward to seeing some of the things you get up to at home on there too.
Please remember if any parents/carers can dedicate any spare time to come into school to read or lend a helping hand speak to your child's class teacher and we would love to see you in class.
Reminder** Welly walks are every Monday so please provide wellys and a spare change of clothes. We also encourage parents to come and join us in some welly walking fun!
