We looked at the different maps to find where we live in England/Plymouth. We discussed the different weather we have here and the different animals we might find.
We then compared Plymouth to other countries around the world to see hotter places and really cold places. The places we explored were Spain. Greece, America, Australia, Finland, Iceland and Polar regions.
The children were all engaged with our topic and became more confident to talk about the clothes needed for different weather conditions. They enjoyed sorting the animals and were very intrigued to see where we live.
