FMs Topic Week - Science

Woo what a fantastic week for science 🧪. 

At the start of the week we became Meteorologists and found out about the weather, specifically wind. We went outside to feel and hear the wind. We soon learnt that our noses, cheeks and ears became cold in the winds gust because these parts of out body weren’t covered up and being protected. We then made kites 🪁 and flew them in the wind 💨, exploring the direction of the winds gust. We also played ‘blow football’ and made streamers.

Later in the week we explored magnets 🧲 and spoke about attract, repel, north and south poles. We tested objects within the classroom to see if the magnets would stick, but we soon learnt that the magnets would only stick to some metals. 

Over the next few days please explore the weather and talk about the various types e.g. hail, sun, frost etc. If you are lucky to spot some interesting weather please upload a picture to tapestry 📸.
