What a chilly 🥶 week for learning.
As Winter is nearly here (begins on 21st December) we have been wondering about animals during this cold time of year and how they keep safe and warm. We have found out about hibernation and why certain animals have a big sleep when the cold weather is here. We have looked at many different habitats and what the animals use to keep themselves warm. We have even channeled our inner hedgehog 🦔 and tried to build a hedgehog habitat out of a box, sticks and leaves 🍁. It looked very snug indeed.
We have also investigated ice 🧊 and how various methods can melt ice quickly.
If it is frosty this weekend please encourage your child to explain what they see and why the frost has appeared. As always please upload some pictures to tapestry 📸.
