FP's Wellie Walk

 This week for wellie walk, we headed back up to the environmental area in school to read the story 'Little Acorn' we looked at the different items mentioned in the story and and went on a treasure hunt, looking for the objects e.g. Wellington boot, acorn, cottonwool (snow). We then placed the items in story order and spoke about signs of the seasons. We then explored the environmental area and looked for autumnal natural resources to use in our maths and art lessons. The children found lots of different and interesting natural resources. As a reward for their superb effort treasure hunting, the children were rewarded with some hot chocolate and a marshmallow each, that Tommy had kindly brought in to share with his friends.
