We started by walking down to the train station. We were all very excited and many of the children had never been on a train. We waited patiently and then boarded the train. Along the journey we saw some beautiful scenery, the Tamar bridge, fields with horses and the river to name just a few. We went over a few bridges which the children really enjoyed. Once at Calstock we walked down the hill to the river bank where we played on the pirate ship. We then had a picnic, the children made friends with a local cat. Once we'd all finished our lunch we had a stroll on the little bridge and along the river bank, we saw lots of ducks and geese. Afterwards we had another little play on the pirate ship before walking up the hill and boarding the train home. All the children had a wonderful day and when we returned back to school were a little tired from the adventure.
